Sandra Hutchens was the first (and only) female Sheriff in Orange County, California. She began her journey in the male dominated field of law enforcement as a secretary at the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Hutchens rose through the ranks to become the Division Chief for Homeland Security. In one of her last interviews, Sheriff Hutchens challenges you to “Dare. Get out of your comfort zone. Don’t wait for someone to tell you are ready.”
